Scope & Topics
Photocatalysis and photosynthesis in an artificial system offer an opportunity for producing renewable energy to replace fossil fuels. The symposium will provide an interdisciplinary platform for delegates to interact and share their findings on a wide range of topics related to photoelectrochemistry and photophysics of semiconductor nanostructures. The central theme covers the recent progress and scientific challenges of integrating the light absorbers and catalysts into subsystems, with the goal of achieving water splitting, CO2 reduction, solar fuel generation, as well as environmental purification. On the other hand, an in-depth comprehension of charge carrier dynamics helps to ascertain the elements determining the carrier utilization efficiency, which is also crucial for the rational design of ideal photocatalytic systems. Symposium topics will include (but not limited to):
- Water splitting
- CO2 reduction
- Solar fuel generation
- Environmental purification
