Symposium A6. Plasmonics and Metamaterials
Organizers:
Chia-Yun Chen | National Cheng Kung University |
Scope & Topics
Plasmonics and metamaterials are cross-disciplinary fields that address many important applications such as manipulation of light, photonic crystals, optoelectronic devices, solar cells, subwavelength photonics, photonic integration & devices, metasurfaces and nanolasers. These developments are promising to revolutionize ways of generating, localizing, collecting and guiding the light at nanoscale, and may create a desired and unexpected characteristic that is not present in the constituent materials. The symposium aims to provide a forum for the discussion of recent developments in the field of plasmonics and metamaterials to foreseen important and applicable discoveries, and provide novel avenues for potential applications.
