The compound semiconductor has been widely using in the high-speed/high power electronic devices and LED/LD/VCSEL optical devices. High-speed GaAs/InP-based devices, high-power/high breakdown GaN/SiC devices, GaOx-based photo-detectors have multiple applications. LD/VCSEL for Lidar/sensor/communication, LED for the lighting/micro-display/replace mercury lamp, and high-efficiency solar cell have much novel and innovation research. Compound and wide bandgap devices provide a high quality of life that are applied to 5G communication, energy-saving, high-resolution display, kill the virus, and UV water purifier area. The scope in this symposium includes all aspects of fundamental material growth, design, characterization, devices, and applied research related to compound and wide bandgap materials to present the latest achievements.
