Scope & Topics

This symposium aims to bring together academic scientists, researchers, scholars, and experts from industries to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Ceramic Engineering, Materials, and Structures. This year, the invited lectures will be unique and different from those in the past years. Many experienced experts from the industries and academia will provide professional speeches to share their opinions about ceramics, particularly from the perspective of the industrial market. The topics will cover the applications of ceramics in the fields of passive devices, 5G communication technology, piezoelectric components, and energy storage systems. From the communications in the symposium, we believe that the attendees can learn the importance and vitality of ceramics in many applications in high-tech products and devices, and importantly, gain an in-depth understanding of the future development and market trending of ceramics. Symposium topics will include (but not limited to):

  1. Design of RF devices for wireless communication (Prof. Jau-Ho Jean)
  2. Multifold crack-resistant glass through its chemistry (Dr. Jeetendra Sehgal)
  3. High entropy dielectric ceramics with perovskite structure (Prof. Dr. Chrisitian Pithan)
  4. Sub-10-nm ferroelectric ultrathin films of binary compounds (Prof. Jay Shieh)
  5. Low dielectric constant and low loss glass powder development technology for 5G application (Dr. Kuo-Chuang Chiu)
  6. Business opportunities of the electronic ceramic industry in the 5G applications (Tim Lin)
